Dreifaltigkeit (Schongau)

Die Dreigesichtigkeit geht auf die vorchristliche Vorstellung der Existenz einer Göttertrias zurück. Sie wurde von der Kirche abgelehnt und 1628 durch Papst Urban VTA. verboten, fand aber trotzdem bis ins 19. Jh. in der Volkskunst Verbreitung.
